Serial Port Monitor ActiveX Control is a versatile component that you can easily embed into your own application to enable it to sniff (monitor) any serial ports in the system.

This component provides everything you need to track serial port activity in your system, to determine which applications work with specific serial ports, and to control serial ports (i.e. to open/close them) without being detected. Besides, you can easily extend Serial Port Monitor ActiveX Control with your own functionality.

Monitor ports that are already opened

Serial Port Monitor ActiveX Control lets you start monitoring the port that has already been opened by some application (you will be informed which application did it). You can stop monitoring the port any time you want to, without the necessity of closing the port.

Serial Port Monitor ActiveX Control supports all the events, properties, and methods necessary for checking a serial port's state and for intercepting signal line events (Ring, RTS, DCD, DTR, RTS, etc.) and control functions (hardware flow control, baud rate, timeouts). Additionally, it provides low-level access to serial ports via standard IRP major functions and IOCTL requests.
