All the created ports are located in Device Manager's Ports group and are easily recognized by any software and hardware you install. You can define which applications are allowed to access specific virtual COM ports.

Full emulation of COM port settings

Virtual serial ports created by Virtual Serial Port Driver work just like real ones: they emulate all settings of hardware serial ports and support hardware flow control, various baud rates, and so on.

Besides, a serial line break can be easily emulated. The advanced Windows kernel driver technology on which VSPD is based ensures comprehensive support of WDM, WMI, Power Management, PnP, etc. Moreover, Virtual Serial Port Driver is fully compatible with COM API and supports all Windows messages.

Management of all signal lines

Virtual Serial Ports Driver creates virtual serial ports that support all standard hardware signal lines (DTR/DSR, RTS/CTS, RING, ERROR, DCD, etc.). As in a real null-modem connection, DTR of the local port is connected to DSR and DCD of the remote port; and RTS of the local port, to CTS of the remote port. If necessary, you can select a specific loopback pinout or even create a custom one, depending on your hardware configuration.
