Advanced Serial Port Terminal is a session-based, multi-purpose utility that provides a simple communication interface for connecting to any serial port device (modem, fax, GPS, mouse, printer, etc.).

Unlike other terminals, this utility allows you not only to send but also to receive and view data in hexadecimal format, to switch between dump and terminal view modes, etc.

Advanced Serial Port Terminal provides an easy way for testing any hardware devices or software programs that use serial ports. Thus, as this utility can send data in different formats and save data streams into a file, you can send various commands to your hardware in order to analyze its performance. Similarly, if you need to test some COM port-using software that runs on a remote computer, Advanced Serial Port Terminal can connect to that computer via a null modem cable or using the TCP/IP protocol (if LAN is enabled).
