Serial Port Splitter

Serial Splitter is an advanced utility that splits a hardware COM port, i.e. creates virtual copies of the original port. You can split a hardware port among multiple applications, so that all of them can simultaneously receive the same data from the port (for example, this approach may be used for letting several applications access GPS receiver data). If you need to share serial port without creating its virtual copies, Serial Splitter by Eltima is what you need. Moreover, since version 4.X, Serial Splitter features new very simple to use interface!

You can also configure any serial port settings, such as baud rate, stop bits, flow, and parity control, or let Serial Splitter do it automatically.

Serial Splitter can create several
types of serial ports bundles:

One-to-many ports connections

Serial Splitter can split one COM port into several virtual ports. For instance, the hardware port COM1 may be split into the virtual ports COM2, COM3, COM4. Or you can just share real COM port among multiple applications without creating virtual copies of the original port.

Many-to-one ports connections

Serial Splitter can join any number of COM ports into one virtual serial port, thus allowing data from several devices to be received by a single application connected to the port at the OUT side of the bundle.

Complex bundles with multiple ports at each side

Serial Splitter lets you arrange complex bundles of COM ports, i.e. to establish connection between any number of serial ports in either incoming or outgoing direction. Besides, you have the option of setting Main Port for each direction (IN/OUT) in order to be able to manage control lines of the corresponding serial port.
